The Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital rehabilitation department is a multidisciplinary team composed of both physical therapy and occupational therapy services. Our licensed therapists offer quality care through state-of-the-art treatment techniques for patients of all ages.
Our rehabilitation department also has a satellite office in Babbitt with flexible hours to accommodate patient needs.

Integrative Dry Needling (IDN)
- Can help patients suffering from headaches, migraines, facial pain, cervical pain, fibromyalgia, back pain, soft tissue dysfunction.

Lymphedema Therapy
- This therapy treatment consists of complete decongestive therapy, manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging, skin care, and appropriate exercises
- Focuses on removing swelling from arms and legs my moving lymphatic fluid out of affected limbs
- Can help patients with breast cancer or who are post-surgery or radiation

Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT) treats a wide array of diagnoses. They specialize in treating upper extremity dysfunction including:
- rotator cuff dysfunction
- carpal tunnel syndrome
- tennis elbow
- golfer’s elbow
- joint replacements
- stroke
- pediatric developmental issues.
Sports injuries and work injuries are all treated to maximize your return to play or work.
The OT department will conduct personalized job site analysis, work hardening, ergonomic assessments and on-site educational seminars for groups or businesses.
Even if you haven’t had one of the injuries listed above, you may be having trouble completing small tasks such as opening doors and jars, putting on your socks, etc. Our OT department can help you regain your independence with adaptive devices and education after a home assessment.

Pelvic Floor Therapy
- Manipulates pelvic floor muscles to restore strength and function
- Biofeedback can assist in the treatment of urinary incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse and help children who struggle with constipation, daytime urinary accidents or bed wetting

- Can help with diagnosis and treatment of Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, and generalized sensory processing difficulties
