Cardiopulmonary Rehab
Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital’s AACVPR-certified outpatient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation (commonly known as “cardiopulmonary rehab”) program is designed for those who have had a heart attack, coronary artery bypass graft (or other heart surgery), angina, PTCA/stent, heart or lung transplant, or other cardiac or pulmonary-related issue.

The cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program at Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital supports patients through exercise and lifestyle management to build their endurance in response to chronic heart or lung diseases and acute events such as heart attacks or heart operations. Several varieties of cardiac stress testing are available, including:
- Nuclear medicine stress tests
- Graded exercise tests
- Stress echocardiography
- Heart rhythm diagnosis and management with real-time recorded heart monitors
- Diagnostic testing on state-of-the-art Cardiolite treadmill

AACVPR Program Certification is the only peer-reviewed accreditation process designed for program-based adult cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. It involves a review of several facility performance measures for facilities with an established program that has multidisciplinary teams providing well-rounded patient care.
