EBCH works with some of the top doctors and specialists in the area to bring the highest level of care to you, so you don’t need to travel to Virginia, Hibbing, or Duluth.
“EBCH has a great working relationship with the Speciality Clinic providers, as we all have a common goal to care for our patients,” says John Schindele, COO at EBCH. “Both my wife and I have used our Speciality Clinic providers, and we are both extremely happy with the care we received and the outcome of the visits.”
At the Specialty Clinic, the team is always working to ensure that every patient that walks through the doors receives the best care they can, from desk to doctor. Christie Strange, Specialty Clinic Assistant, explains that working in partnership with the doctors and their administrative assistants is a smooth, streamlined process with a focus on mutual respect and communication.
“As I do my part, such as check-ins, insurance verifications, and making future appointments, the doctors and assistants can fully concentrate on the patient and deliver the best care possible,” says Christie.
With the variety of specialty services provided at the clinic, there are many patients that come seeking care from the local area. As Christie mentioned, the atmosphere at the clinic is respectful, with a strong sense of community.
“One of my favorite things about working in the Specialty Clinic is the repeat patients,” Christie explained, “When they walk into my office, we greet each other by first name. I strive for a professional, yet comfortable office environment where each patient feels content and valued.”
MacKenzie Peterson, one of the nurses at the Specialty Clinic, shares that one of her favorite things is giving patients a complete end-to-end experience. “It is reassuring that our patients can schedule an appointment close to home to see our specialty providers (podiatry, general surgery, orthopedics) with no stress of a long commute and having appointment availability. If there are additional diagnostic tests required, we can offer that here as well. If our patients want their surgery done with us, our surgery department works diligently to make that happen. Once surgery is complete, I get to be a part of the patient’s follow-up and post operative care. It becomes full circle, and my position here is very rewarding in that aspect. We are very fortunate to have this option available to those in our community and surrounding areas.”
EBCH offers advanced technologies like robotic-assisted surgeries and specialty doctors to help in the areas of podiatry, orthopaedics, or general surgery.
“If you’re considering any of our specialty services, I would say to give us a chance,” Christie says. “You’ll be amazed at the services our specialty doctors can provide. Our small town has many offerings that can help those in the Ely area.”
